Write 2 or 3 sentences that introduce the topic of the page. This content appears at the top of the page and can optionally be used as the custom post excerpt by checking the box that says “Overwrite the post excerpt with this Introduction.”
If you use the All In One Schema Rich Snippets plugin, the Article description setting will be pre-filled with the content that is first typed into the Introduction field.
TIP: If your website uses Yoast SEO, you can use the
%%excerpt%% variable to automatically use the post’s custom excerpt as the meta description. Go to SEO > Search Appearance > Content Types tab to place the
%%excerpt%% variable into the meta description template field for Posts.

Available content blocks include:

The native Excerpt field can be used to customize the excerpt content displayed on archive pages. The custom excerpt will also be displayed on the home page Feature Posts.

Check this box to feature the post on your home page. Make sure the Featured Posts content block is active on your home page. Learn More
Unfeature Post X Days After Publish Date
Use this setting to automatically unfeature a featured post after a specific number of days after the post’s publish date. The post will be unfeatured around midnight local time on the expiration day.
This feature requires the WordPress Timezone setting in Settings > General to be set to your correct timezone, otherwise the post may be unfeatured earlier or later than expected.
Check this box to suppress the sidebar for this post. By default, the sidebar is automatically displayed on all posts.
